At Kintner Modular Homes we are asked, “Modular Homes Construction What Makes It Different”? The very same materials that you would to build a stick built home are the same materials that go into one of our high quality modular homes. Kintner Modular homes are built to every state and local building codes just like a site/stick built home. This means that they must be built with same materials that meet or exceed those building standards.
A modular home’s foundation has wood floor joists attached to a steel frames. At Kintner Modular Homes we place OSB board on top of the homes frame, which is a commonly used type of subfloor that is fire, impact and water resistant along with helping to control temperatures and to deaden sound in the room it is installed in.* The underlayment is then sanded down so the floor covering placed on top will go on smoothly.
When you order your new Kintner modular home, the process from the time of the initial purchase to the home delivery typically takes four to six weeks. However, because each modular home we build is your very unique, the build time for your home could take more or less time.
