Modular vs Manufactured Homes
Modular and manufactured home are not the same. Modular homes have permanent foundations that your home is constructed onto using modular construction. Manufactured homes, sometimes referred to as (but are not always) mobile homes, can be moved from one location to another. There are specific laws and regulations regarding these relocation’s. Manufactured homes are called mobile homes or trailers. The difference between Modular vs Manufactured Homes is that a manufactured home can be more easily and transported as-is to a new location if the owner wishes to relocate it. Modular homes are constructed in factories and then transported in parts (or modules) to the building site. The construction of a modular home is generally considered indistinguishable from homes built on site sometimes called stick built homes.
